Live Q&A Recap

by | Aug 30, 2023 | Social Media

Recently, we went live on multiple platforms to address our customers’ inquiries. These questions covered a wide range of topics, including various platforms and digital marketing-related subjects. If you’re reading this, you likely have questions about social media as well. Therefore, we’re here to provide you with a rundown of what you might have missed!

Can you discuss Threads?

Instagram has one of the most comprehensive service agreements, granting them the right to perform facial map recognition. Threads serves as Instagram’s response to Twitter. To compete with Twitter, Meta introduced Threads. Upon signing up for Threads, you grant them access to all aspects of your phone. The only way to eliminate Threads is by deleting your Instagram account. Until there’s a relaxation of regulations, we’ll refrain from using it and recommend the same to our customers.

What should your social media strategy be if you’re launching a business that’s not yet open?

The answer to this question depends on your business. You need to determine the platforms based on your target audience. For instance, if your business involves selling Medicare, your typical user would be over 50 years old. Consequently, marketing on Facebook, rather than Snapchat or TikTok, would be more effective, as that’s where your audience is. Your approach should adapt to your audience. We can assist with your website and social media. It’s advisable to establish your social media presence before your business opens so that you’re prepared when the time comes.

What types of clients do you work with?

We represent a diverse range of clients, including small and medium-sized businesses. Our clientele encompasses retail, service-centered enterprises, medical facilities, and more. With extensive experience across numerous industries, we particularly enjoy collaborating with clients who operate multiple locations, although we’re equipped to work with anyone.

What’s the best social listening platform?

To excel in social listening, one effective approach is utilizing other social media platforms. Twitter is a prime destination for this purpose, while Facebook is lagging behind. TikTok is an emerging player, offering up-to-the-minute information compared to potentially outdated data on Instagram. Google Alerts is another valuable listening tool, alongside Facebook tabs and the mention bar. Among these options, Twitter stands out as our preferred social listening platform.

How can I receive alerts for specific mentions in posts?

You can receive alerts through a tool called Mention, which notifies you when someone mentions you in a post. Additionally, you can manually search for your name or your company’s name on social media platforms. Even if your company isn’t tagged, mentions will appear. If you are tagged, you’ll receive a notification.

Is it necessary for every business to have a presence on Instagram?

Not necessarily. Instagram isn’t relevant for every type of business, and growing on the platform can be challenging. It demands substantial commitment and consistency. If your target audience is above 50, predominantly professional, or in the medical field, Instagram might not be the ideal platform for you.

What’s the most underrated social media platform for businesses to consider?

TikTok. We’re enthusiastic about TikTok due to its strong sense of community, catering to a wide range of interests. TikTok boasts a diverse viewership across age groups and demographics, making it feasible to grow and connect with your desired audience. The versatility of TikTok videos extends to various platforms, making the content creation effort worthwhile.

How do you balance staying trendy with maintaining authenticity?

This presents a significant challenge for many. It’s crucial to stay within your brand’s identity and sphere of influence. Some organizations attempt humor or dance trends that don’t align with their brand or image. If a trend resonates with your identity or can be related to your industry, it’s reasonable to participate. Authenticity and staying true to your brand are more valuable than simply following trends.

Should businesses utilize Chat-GPT, and can followers discern its use?

Chat-GPT is an AI tool that offers quick answers to questions. However, it’s limited to information up until 2021 and may lack updates on certain topics and events. New statistics might not be available. Additionally, it might not always provide information in a human-like manner and could sound robotic. A human touch is needed if you intend to use it as a digital marketing tool. Skillful questioning can yield valuable information.
