3 Easy Apps for Stories You Haven’t Heard Of

Temporary content is going to be huge for 2020, which begs the question “How do I do good stories for Instagram?” Our team has a few apps that we use to make this easier. Here are 3 of our favorites you may have never heard of.

Word Swag

Word Swag is a free app but you can also pay $4.99 to unlock more features. It is one of the easiest ways to create quotes on the go. It’s super fast and simple. You can use your own picture from your camera roll or you can use the free library of pictures included with the app. To use the free graphics, simply type in the kind of picture you’re looking for and choose from the library. You have the option to resize the graphic. Then, you can add your text. There are a variety of font and layout options. Once you’re finished, you can even add your logo to the graphic. If you’re just using it for one company, it stores the logo the next time you create a graphic it asks if you want to use the same logo, which is super convenient.

Remove.bg

Remove.bg allows you to take any photo with an image in the foreground and eliminate the background, turning it into a png file. What does that mean for you? It means if you have some really cool images that you don’t like the background of, you can remove the background. For example, if you’re a retailer and you take pictures of your product in the store but there is clutter in the background, you can use this tool to remove the background and isolate the product in a png file with a transparent background. It works immediately and is really easy to use. It pulls the image in the foreground so you don’t even have to tell it what image to use. It pulls it automatically. This tool is on your computer, not your phone. You just go to the website, upload your image, and watch the magic happen. Then you can take that image and put it anywhere. You can even take it to Word Swag and put it on any background you like.

Pixaloop

Pixaloop is a really cool app that allows you to add movement to still images. So, if you have an image of a cup of coffee or tea, and you want steam to rise from it, you can add that. You can add fire. You can add water. These stories you see where it appears to be snowing in a still image, or there are fireworks in the background, or it’s raining- this is how they’re doing it. You can take an image of a waterfall and make it look like the water is actually falling. Like Word Swag, it’s really fast and really easy to use. You don’t have to be a graphic designer to create really cool images that work for you. This is a great app for your business because people are much more likely to pay attention to a video than a still image.

Create Temporary Content with an Impact

These are our favorite apps of the moment for Instagram stories. If you aren’t already adding temporary content, such as stories, to your social media plan you need to start now. People love the easily consumable content found in stories and they receive increased engagement. This means more value for your business. Try these apps to make your stories look compelling and polished.
