Nothing beats a great app that simplifies the process and makes your life easier. Let’s look at 3 cool apps that are hopefully new to you.
Removebg
One of the things we get asked about the most is how to remove the background from a picture. If you don’t know photoshop, this can be quite the technical challenge. Removebg is a free program on your computer that makes this an easy task. Just go to the URL, upload your image, and voila. It literally takes less than 5 seconds to remove the background from your photos. After removing the background, it changes the foreground into a PNG file with a transparent background. You can then save your image with the same resolution of the original image.
What are the practical applications of this? Say for instance you are a realtor and you have a great picture of yourself holding a “sold” sign in front of a house. You can remove yourself from the background and put your picture over a different house. Say you sell cars and take a picture of a beautiful car but the background is too busy. You can simply remove the background and put the car on a solid background to make it really stand out.
The only drawback to Removebg is that it won’t work with every picture. You have to have a very defined foreground or the program gets confused. As long as your subject is clear and in the front of your picture, you won’t have any issues.

Fireflies
Fireflies takes notes from your virtual meetings by recording and transcribing the audio. That is awesome! Do you spend every meeting, conference call, and webinar furiously taking notes so you can remember it all later? After you connect this tool to your calendar, Fireflies asks to join your meetings as an attendee and begins taking notes once a meeting starts. This saves you a ton of wasted time that you’d normally spend going back through your notes and cleaning them up. Fireflies does the work for you. Again, this app is totally free.
Teleprompt.me
Teleprompt.me is a free Chrome browser tool (not an extension) that acts as a teleprompter that you can refer to while you’re reading text aloud for video or audio. If you’ve always been scared to death to go live, this tool is for you. Just open this tool, give it access to your microphone, then copy and paste your script into the text box. Your text will appear in the browser, large enough to read, like it’s on a teleprompter. Once you speak the words, those words are grayed out, so you don’t have to go back and wonder what you said. If you’re nervous about going live and are afraid that you will forget your notes, Telepromt.me takes out all the guesswork for you.
