Any social media platform, specifically Facebook, is important for keeping up with your brand. Any time you are tagged or mentioned in anything you should look to see why. Look for posts, blogs, and comments that mention your name. Spam is common, and you will most likely get tagged for the wrong reason. You do not want your brand associated with an untrue or inappropriate message. It happens, but you have the power to control your mentions.
Hootsuite has a dashboard that will feed you mentions from your platforms. You can use Hootsuite for free if you only set up three platforms. If you know you will check Facebook mentions every day, set Hootsuite up for platforms that you check less often. This gives you the power to know what is being said about your brand.

If someone has made a fake account that portrays your brand poorly, you might never know about it. Searching on Facebook can prevent this from becoming a problem.
Search hashtags that relate to your brand on Instagram and Twitter. These platforms are heavy in hashtag use. If someone is speaking poorly about you they might tag you, but they might use a hashtag that relates to your brand. You can do damage control if you find them.

It helps you identify powerful voices in your industry so that you can use them to make a positive impact on your brand. They also have brand analysis tools that help you separate positive and negative comments on your social media platforms. It is normal to want to see negative comments before positive ones so that you can do damage control.
